How many correcting strips are in each package?

Each package contains 80 strips.

How do I know what size I need?

In general, the heavier your eyelid, the larger the size you will need. However, eye shape may also be a factor in selecting the appropriate size. Please read our product descriptions to choose your ideal lift and fit, or try our Variety Pack to discover your perfect size.

What if I get my placement wrong?

Placement takes practice. If you don’t get your ideal placement on the first try, simply remove the correcting strip and reposition as needed. Once you have found the perfect placement, remove the practice strip and replace it with a fresh strip for all-day wear.

Can I reuse the strip?

Each LIDS BY DESIGN correcting strip is intended for one time use only. Strips may be reused to practice placement, but otherwise should be discarded once removed.

Can I wear LIDS BY DESIGN with contact lenses?

Yes. Our safe, non-irritating materials are suitable for contact lens wearers.

How soon will I see a difference in my appearance?

Results are immediate and will last as long as you wear the correcting strip.

Does the correcting strip leave behind any residue?

No. When applied and removed properly, the organic adhesive material separates cleanly and completely from the skin.

Can I use LIDS BY DESIGN to correct bags under my eyes?

No. The correcting strips are designed and intended for use only on the upper eyelid.

LIDS BY DESIGN® Common Concerns

"Can't apply correctly..."

Placement takes practice, like anything new. Take a look at our tutorials on proper placement online at ContoursRx.com or our YouTube channel "Contours Rx".

"Don't stay on/don't stick..."

Ensure that your skin is clean and dry, free of any oils, makeups, or moisturizers. Also, do not touch the strips with your fingers or thick tweezers, this will interfere with the delicate adhesive and they will no longer be transparent.

"Wasted too many trying to figure out how to place them..."

Although the strips are not reusable, you can use one that's been improperly placed over again until you find your perfect placement. Remember they will not be transparent or sticky but you can still find placement with them. When you find your sweet spot, put a fresh one in that location.

"They're uncomfortable/can feel them when I blink..."

This may be an indication that the size you selected was too large for your eye. Another sign of this is the looking up is uncomfortable. Try going down a size or two. Once you find the correct size and placement, it should be very comfortable and unnoticeable on the eye.

"My tweezer ruined the edges and they didn't stay..."

Thick tweezers are not designed for application of these delicate strips. The delicacy of them is what makes them comfortable and transparent, but this also means they must be handled with care. Our specially developed tweezers are the thinnest available, which means they touch the strip as little as possible, and limit the risk of damage.

"Not transparent..."

There are a couple of reasons why this may be happening: (1) you may have applied the strip by swiping across it rather than pressing and holding, the more you press the more it blends with the skin tone (2) the skin may not be fully dry (no oils, makeups, or moisturizers) when applying the strip.

"The corners of the strip lift..."

It is very important that you press and hold the strip to the eye, especially the corners, for several seconds to ensure a strong bond

"Don't notice a difference..."

This may be an indication that the size you selected was too small for your eye or placed too low (under the area where the skin is folding). Experiment with some higher placement or try going up a size.

"Makeup adheres differently/looks different on the strips..."

The strip and the skin are two different surfaces, so makeup will inherently take two different ways. To avoid this, use our COLORSET pencil primer over the strip and eyelid to make everything one smooth surface. This primer was specially designed to work with the strips as it is oil-free and will not interfere with the adhesive. Make sure the primer is flush with the edges of the strip when applying. Then your shadows will adhere evenly and be more pigmented.

"Doesn't blend in with the skin..."

Although the strips blend in with most skin tones, we cannot guarantee it will perfectly blend in with all skin tones. However, you should still try the press and hold technique to ensure the adhesive has blended in as much as possible to the skin tone. If it still not transparent to your liking, you could also try using our COLORSET pencil primer to evenly apply eye shadows over the strip. Our sincerest apologies if our product does not blend in perfectly with your skin tone.

"The strip folded over with my eyelid..."

This means that the strip was placed too high, and rather than blocking the natural fold, folded with the skin. To prevent this, place the strip where the sagging skin is folding (which can be located by the indentation line of that fold, or wrinkle).

 NECK RESCUE Common Concerns

"How can I remove safely and comfortably..."

The adhesive for this strip is incredibly strong, because we don't want it falling off during your special occasion. This means when you are ready to remove your strip, be patient, go slow, and use warm water and some oil to gently remove the strip. A good tip is to start in the center with warm water and some oil, working your way back and forth to the edges until the adhesive releases.

"Left neck feeling raw..."

This may be because removal was done quickly without warm water or oil. This product is hypoallergenic and latex-free, however there is acrylic in the adhesive, so be sure to read the label and avoid if you have an acrylic allergy. There is also a chance too much skin was placed under the strip and it is creating an irritation.

"Visible on the neck..."

Unlike LIDS BY DESIGN, this strip is not as transparent against the skin although it is still discreet. We suggest wearing a collar or scarf if you have shorter hair, or wearing your hair over the area.

"Hair gets caught in the strip..."

Some users may have a lower hairline or baby hairs on the back of the neck, it is important to lift all hair out of the way of the strip and prepare the skin using a small razor or brow-shaper to avoid hair-pulling during removal.

"Hard to put on..."

Unlike LIDS BY DESIGN, which can be worn easily everyday, NECK RESCUE was designed for special occasions. After you've secured your hair and prepared the skin, take of one side of the backing and place the strip on one side of the neck. pinch the skin toward the center of the strip and lay the other side over as you take off the other side of the backing. If you are still having trouble, try asking for assistance, perhaps from someone who is getting ready with you.
