  • Can I wear LIDS BY DESIGN with makeup?

Yes! For best results, the correcting strips should applied to the bare skin before any makeup, oils, or moisturizers. We recommend using our Eyelid Prep Pads to prepare the skin for LIDS BY DESIGN. We also recommend using our new Transforming Shadow Base over the eyelids and strip to create one smooth surface before applying your makeup.
  • Is LIDS BY DESIGN suitable for use by men?

Yes! Designed for use by all genders, our correcting strips utilize skin-like technology that is translucent and comfortable enough for all-day, every day wear.
  • Will LIDS BY DESIGN last all day?

Yes! For the longest wear, apply the correcting strip to clean, dry eyelids – free of all oils, makeup, and moisturizers. When applied properly, the organic-based adhesive is designed to last up to 24 hours. We recommend using our Eyelid Prep Pads to prepare the skin for optimal LIDS BY DESIGN longevity. We also recommend for longer holds our new Extended Wear Adhesive.
  • How many correcting strips are in each package?

    Each package contains 80 strips.
  • How do I know what size I need?

In general, the heavier your eyelid (excess skin), the larger the size you will need. However, eye shape may also be a factor in selecting the appropriate size. Please read our product descriptions to choose your ideal lift and fit, or try our Assortment Pack to try all options and discover your perfect size for every occasion!
  • What if I get my placement wrong?

Remember, placement may take practice. We recommend using our Eyelid Prep Pads to prepare the skin for LIDS BY DESIGN so you can practice placing up to 3x. If you don’t get your ideal placement on the first try, simply remove the correcting strip and reposition as needed. Once you have found the perfect placement, remove the practice strip and replace it with a fresh strip for all-day wear!
  • Can I reuse the strip?

Each LIDS BY DESIGN correcting strip is intended for one-time use only. Strips may be reused to practice placement, but otherwise should be discarded once removed. If you need to reposition the strip you may need to apply additional adhesive. Check out our Extended Wear Adhesive for a quick fix.
  • Can I wear LIDS BY DESIGN with contact lenses?

Yes! Our safe, non-irritating materials are suitable for contact lens wearers.
  • How soon will I see a difference in my appearance?

Results are immediate and will last all day as long as you wear the correcting strips!
  • Does the correcting strip leave behind any residue?

No! The organic-based adhesive material separates cleanly and completely from the skin. Use our Eyelid Prep Pads to fully clean the lids after removal.
  • Can I use LIDS BY DESIGN to correct bags under my eyes?

Our correcting strips are designed and intended for use only on the upper eyelid.
  • What comes in a box?

    Each LIDS BY DESIGN box includes 80 correcting strips (over a month’s supply) and a pair of tweezers, plus a few strips to practice with. The Variety Pack comes with the following: 20 × 3mm strips, 20 × 4mm strips, 10 × 5mm strips, 10 × 6mm strips, 10 × 7mm strips, and 10 × 8mm strips.

LIDS BY DESIGN® Common Concerns

  • I can't apply correctly

Placement takes practice, like anything new. Take a look at our tutorials on proper placement online at ContoursRx.com or our YouTube channel "Contours Rx".
  • LIDS BY DESIGN won't stay on/doesn't stick

Ensure that your skin is clean and dry, free of any oils, makeups, or moisturizers. We recommend using our Eyelid Prep Pads to prepare the skin for LIDS BY DESIGN, as edges sticking to dead skin or dirt will lift. Additionally, it's important not to touch the strips with your fingers or thick tweezers, as this will interfere with the delicate adhesive and they will no longer be translucent or stick! We recommend using our Stainless Steel Tweezers to peel and place LIDS BY DESIGN onto the eyelids.
  • I've wasted too many trying to figure out how to place them

Although the strips are not reusable, you can use one that's been improperly placed over again as a practice strip until you find your perfect placement! Remember they will not be translucent or sticky but you can still find placement with them. When you find your sweet spot, put a fresh one in that location!
  • They feel uncomfortable/I can feel them when I blink

This experience is usually an indication that the size you selected was too large for your eye. Another sign of this is that looking up is uncomfortable. Try going down a size or two. Once you find the correct size and placement, it should be very comfortable and unnoticeable on the eye! Still confused about which size to get? Try our Assortment Pack and you can try every size!
  • My tweezers ruined the edges and LIDS BY DESIGN didn't stay

Thick tweezers are not designed for application of our delicate strips. The delicacy of LIDS BY DESIGN is what makes them comfortable and translucent, but this also means they must be handled with care. Our specially developed tweezers are the thinnest available, which means they touch the strip as little as possible, and limit the risk of damage.
  • LIDS BY DESIGN is not translucent for me

There are a couple of reasons why this may be happening: (1) you may have applied the strip by swiping across it rather than pressing and holding, the more you press the more it blends with the skin tone (2) the skin may not be fully dry or clean (no oils, makeups, or moisturizers) when applying the strip! We recommend using our Eyelid Prep Pads to prepare the skin optimally for LIDS BY DESIGN.
  • The corners of the strip is lifting

You may need additional adhesive on the corners. For this, we recommend our Extended Wear Adhesive to give you the extra hold and transparency you're needing. Remember, it is very important that you press and hold the strip to the eye, especially the corners, for several seconds to ensure a strong bond. If the corners are still lifting, try gently exfoliating the eyelid as the strip is likely sticking to dead skin and therefore lifting without a good bond. We recommend using our Eyelid Prep Pads to prepare the skin for LIDS BY DESIGN as it gently exfoliates and removes dirt from the eyelid.
  • I don't notice a difference

This may be an indication that the size you selected was too small for your eye or placed too low. Experiment with some higher placement or try going up a size!
  • Makeup adheres differently/looks different on the strips

The strip and the skin are two different surfaces, so makeup will inherently take two different ways. To avoid this, use our Transforming Shadow Base over the strip and eyelid to make everything one smooth surface. This pencil was specially designed to work with the strips as it is oil-free and will not interfere with the adhesive! Make sure COLORSET rests flush with the edges of the strip when applying, then your shadows will adhere evenly and be more pigmented!
  • LIDS BY DESIGN doesn't blend in with my skin

Most likely, transparency is determined by how well LIDS BY DEISGN is bonded to the skin. You should always first try the press and hold technique to ensure LIDS BY DESIGN adhesive has blended in as much as possible to the skin tone!
  • The strip folded over with my eyelid

This means that the strip was placed too high, and rather than blocking the natural fold, it folded with the excess skin. To prevent this, place LIDS BY DESIGN where the sagging skin is folding (which can be located by the indentation line of that fold).

  • How do I remove NECK RESCUE?

The adhesive for NECK RESCUE is very strong as it is intended to last all day. We recommend using a mild soap or mineral oil to assist with removal by gently massaging the soap/oil underneath the strip with your finger to help break the bond. Please do not rip the strip off as you would with an adhesive bandage. This is a delicate area so use caution when removing.
  • Does the correcting strip leave behind any residue?

No! When applied and removed properly, the organic-based adhesive material separates cleanly and completely from the skin.

NECK RESCUE Common Concerns

  • How can I remove safely and comfortably?

The adhesive for this strip is very strong because we don't want it falling off during your special occasion! This means when you are ready to remove your strip, be patient, go slow, and use warm water with some oil to gently remove the strip. A good tip is to start in the center with warm water and some oil, working your way back and forth to the edges until the adhesive releases.
  • Left my neck feeling raw

Redness can be normal as we have been pinching the skin for hours. Remember to use oil to help break the bond before gently removing . This product is hypoallergenic and latex-free, however there is acrylic in the adhesive, so be sure to read the label and avoid if you have an acrylic allergy. There is also a chance too much skin was placed under the strip and this is creating an irritation.
  • NECK RESCUE is visible on the neck

NECK RESCUE is discreet, however the skin it is supporting may be more visible in the back of the neck. We suggest wearing a collar or scarf if you have shorter hair, or wearing your hair over this area!
  • Hair gets caught in the strip

Some users may have a lower hairline or baby hairs on the back of the neck, it is important to lift all hair out of the way of the strip and prepare the skin using our Dermal Blades to avoid hair-pulling during removal!
  • NECK RESCUE is difficult to put on

Unlike LIDS BY DESIGN, which can be worn easily everyday, NECK RESCUE was designed for special occasions. After you've secured your hair and prepared the skin, take off one side of the backing and place the strip on one side of the neck. pinch the skin toward the center of the strip and lay the other side over as you take off the other side of the backing. If you are still having trouble, try asking for assistance, perhaps from someone who is getting ready with you.
