I was intrigued but skeptical, but a couple of attempts were enough to discover that they are fantastic: the result is exactly what you can see in the demonstration, even on decidedly aged eyelids like mine. No irritation and perfect and lasting adherence. Not recommended only for those who have really poor dexterity.
The COLORSET Primer Pencil is an all-in-one shadow primer and contouring pencil. Made using Coco-glycerides rather than heavy mineral oils, COLORSET gives you a dry yet moisturizing finish to maximize shadow pigments and highlight the eyes.
COLORSET is the best primer to use with your LIDS BY DESIGN strips! Shadows being placed on the skin and the strip means that shadows can adhere 2 different ways--apply COLORSET over your strips so your makeup adheres more evenly and vibrantly. This luxurious cream-based formula is a neutral toned primer that glides on effortlessly, creating a smooth canvas for optimal eyeshadow application. A lightweight formula that helps to diminish the appearance of uneven skin tones and primes for color eyeshadow. This pencil also doubles as a highlighter around the eyes and other parts of the face.
I love this pencil because it is so good as a primer under my shadow its also great as a brightener around my eyes. I bought it months ago and have started wearing it and love it. This item wont go to waste.
I use this as an eyelid primer—I don't use the contours. Most other primers from TVSN didn't work for me but this one is perfect. It slightly hydrates the lids as well as creating a perfect base for eye-shadow, eye-liner and mascara. I wear contact lenses and have watery eyes at times and today after seeing a play during which tears kept coming, my eye make-up was as new. I highly recommend it.
The Lift blog post from June is spot on! I use this pencil for so many things! When I use it with the Lids By Design, I definitely have to use a beauty blender or brush to get it event distributed over my whole eyelid and the strip. From there I can put my shadows over everything and it blends much better than it would without the primer. No matter what, there's going to be a strip on the eyelid...it's not a miracle worker lol...but this does help if you're trying to wear shadows over them!
I love this primer! I use it in so many ways, as a highlighter (although I do have light skin which I should note), a creamy primer for my lips, and a primer for my shadows (with or without the LID BY DESIGN). The primer definitely is useful for darker shadows (like for a night out) and matte shadows I have found work best. When I've used more neutral tones, I skip the primer altogether and just either go around the strip or it blends in on its own. Hope this helps anyone who's curious about this product!
This primer is necessary if wearing shadow.
I LOVE this primer, calling it just a primer doesn't even do it justice. I use this as highlighter pencil for all over my face, especially under the brow and the corners of the eyes. It's creamy but doesn't cake or dry me out later. Plus, and this is the best part, it makes every single color I place on top of it POP!! From lip color to eyeshadows, it turns out stunning. I will say matte shadows and darker shadows work best but no matter what it's a great result.
I literally use this product everyday!! along with my strips and Sorme eyeshadow pallet. It helps my eyeshadow last all day and when I go out I don't have to worry about any of my eyeshadow smearing or smudging! overall a great product!
I provide COLORSET to multiple retailers and makeup artists and they all love this product. You get awesome control with the pencil applicator and the primer itself is super smooth. It lasts a lonnngg time too so you get a great bang for the buck. Definitely recommended.
